Meet your new sophomore class officers

Sophomores King Andre Dunning and Samara Kahan

Q: Introduce yourselves.

A: Dunning: “I’m the sophomore class president. I enjoy working out and watching Youtube. I also like to spend time with my friends.”

Kahan: “I’m the sophomore class vice-president. I was the JV captain of the field hockey team and a part of Key Club and Environmental Club. I also really enjoy volunteering for Friendship Circle.”

Q: Why did you choose to run for class officer?

A: Dunning: “Honestly, I woke up one day and I just said I wanted to do it.”

Q: What is something you hope to change/accomplish for the school?

A: Kahan: “After last year with COVID-19, there were a lot of things we didn’t get to experience. Something really important is trying to up school spirit. We can double or triple the school spirit and just make everything more fun.”

Q: How do you plan on doing this?

A: Kahan: “[King Andre and I] both talk to people who are not in Student Council but still have really good ideas. We impose those ideas in the meetings on behalf of our class.”
