Bexley is one of the most rapidly growing suburbs of Columbus. In June, 1924, when the school enumeration was taken the population of the village was 2,850. In March, 1925, an accurate census of the village, taken by the Board of Education, showed the population was 3,775 or an increase of approximately one hundred per month. At the present time it is perhaps true that there are more than 4,000 people living in the village. At the present rate of growth, Bexley will soon have a population large enough to become a city.
Since January, 1925, 535 permits have been issued by building inspector of the village, Mr. Dunlap.
The schools show a twenty percent increase in enrollment over that of last year. The grade schools are very much over-crowded. With the rapid growth the need of a new building is very imperative.
