Senior Homecoming monarch Amiya Bowles and senior Solan Coutts applaud while senior Roan Dunham is announced the second Homecoming monarch during halftime at the Homecoming football game against rival Columbus Academy Sept. 26. The dance was held in the high school gymnasium Sept. 27 from 7-10 p.m., and the theme of the dance was New York City. Tickets were sold for $10 during the week before the dance and were $15 at the door. At the dance, cookies were provided at the concession stand, and outside of the gymnasium, attendees could get a caricature drawing and paint tote bags. Student Council Executive Board member Naomi Baker said she thought the decorating process went well and the dance was successful overall.
