Q: What is your biggest accomplishment this season?
A: My biggest accomplishment is getting team captain for the second year. I’m very happy my teammates trust me to be a leader on our team.

Q: What is the team aspect like of your sport?
A: My favorite thing about being a part of a soccer team is all the friends I made through soccer.
Q: What is your favorite soccer memory?
A: My favorite soccer memory is freshman year when our team beat Granville in district finals. Also, beating St. Francis DeSales in PKs during the tournament this year.
Q: Do you have any advice for younger players?
A: My advice for younger players is to have fun and make the most of your time with a good team because it’s over before you know it.
Q: Is there anything you think you should’ve done to prepare for the season?
A: I think I could’ve gotten the team together apart from practices more, and I should’ve organized fun soccer games during the summer.
Q: Do you plan on playing soccer in the future?
A: I plan on playing club soccer wherever I go to college.
Q: Do you have a coach or mentor that has helped you over the season?
A: My teammates helped me the most throughout the season, and they were my biggest supporters.
Q: What was your biggest challenge of the season?
A: The player and coach chemistry this year was not great, which was a big struggle for my team and I.

Q: What was your biggest accomplishment this season?
A: I would probably say the Columbus Academy game because we won 3-1 in a PK shootout. I was able to save three of their PK attempts, so it was a great moment for me and the team.

Q: What is the team aspect like of your sport?
A: At the beginning of the season, our team chemistry was a bit patchy, but as the season progressed, our team began to really come together.
Q: Do you have any coaches or mentors who have helped you?
A: I train specifically for goalkeeping outside of high school practices with my goalie coach Nick Hills, and he has definitely helped me improve a lot.
Q: How did you prepare for this season?
A: My club season went until July. Then, I was immediately able to go to open fields, so my skills never regressed because I never had an offseason.
Q: Do you plan on playing soccer in the future?
A: I would say right now probably not, but if I were to get a good offer I would probably take it.
Q: What was your biggest challenge of the season?
A: I pulled a muscle in my hip during the first game of the season. The road to recovery was a long one, but eventually I was able to get back on the field.
Senior Zach Topolosky
Q: What was your biggest accomplishment this season?
A: My biggest accomplishment would be reaching all of my goals this season like winning a tournament as an individual and making it to districts for the first time.
Q: What is the team aspect like of your sport?

A: Having a new coach this year really helped us come together as a team, which was something we have struggled with in years past.
Q: Do you have any advice you would give to the people on your team?
A: Don’t take everything so seriously, because if you do, you only prevent yourself from becoming a better golfer.
Q: Do you plan on playing golf in the future?
A: Yes, I am attempting to walk on to whatever college I plan on going to.
Q: What was your biggest challenge of the season?
A: My biggest challenge this season was putting too much pressure on myself to perform well.
Q: Is there anything you think you should’ve done differently to prepare for the season?
A: I spent a lot of time playing nine or 18 holes instead of focusing on specific aspects of my game that I could improve on.
Q: Do you have a coach or mentor that has helped you over the season?
A: My swing coach, Chase Willison, helped me manage my game and stay in the correct state of mind.
Q: What is your favorite memory from this season?
A: This season we shot 299 as a team. It was the lowest score since Bexley won the state championship in 2015.
