A: “Revisionist History.”
Q: What is it about?
A: It is by Malcolm Gladwell, and the episodes go back in history and revisit things that may have been misreported, misinterpreted or misunderstood…it gives a fresh take on something that once occurred.
Q: Why is it your favorite?
A: It is interesting, the stories are always new and unique and the reporting and production is fantastic.
Q: Do you have a favorite episode? If so, why?
A: My favorite one was a few years back, and it was reporting on the actual impact of ACT and SAT scores on students’ earnings once they were 20 years out of college.

A: It’s called “Serial Killers,” and it’s by Spotify Studios.
Q: What is it about?
A: It’s kind of in the name. It’s about serial killers, and it gives a good backstory on their childhood, the growing up that may have contributed to why they were serial killers, their killings and then if they were caught or not.
Q: Why is it your favorite?
A: I find the topic interesting, especially the childhood of a serial killer.

A: I do have a favorite episode…it’s about this guy who had a rough childhood growing up, and he was really into poisons and chemicals.

A: It’s called “Within Reason” by Alex J. O’Connor.
Q: What is it about?
A: It discusses philosophy, ethics, politics and religion.
Q: Why is it your favorite?
A: I’m very interested in the chokehold theism has on our world, and the fact that it condemns critical questioning is quite problematic to me, so I’m interested in the roots of it.

A: I would say it is “[RichardDawkins -]Religion is (Still) Appalling”…it just talks a lot about how we use scripture to defend so many political beliefs.

A: “Find us Alive.”
Q: What is it about?
A: “Find us Alive” is a fictional story based around scientists whose lab gets put into a different dimension and they have to figure out how to survive.
Q: Why is it your favorite?
A: It is my favorite because of the storytelling and the narration. The different voice actors do an amazing job at selling the story, and the storytelling never gets repetitive or stale.
Q: Do you have a favorite episode? If so, why?
A: I would say the first one because it has some of the best acting.

A: My favorite podcast is called “Stuff You Should Know.”
Q: What is it about?
A: It is an informational podcast that explains various, almost random topics such as dandelions, the Paris Catacombs or even how bomb disposal works.
Q: Why is it your favorite?
A: I like it because it breaks down subjects in a funny, easy-to-understand way.
Q: Do you have a favorite episode? If so, why?
A: One of my favorite episodes is called “Short Stuff: Waffle House Index.” I liked it because it introduced me to a new way of looking at Waffle House, and it showed how something seemingly far removed from disaster relief can be actually used to provide aid.

Q: What is your favorite podcast?
A: My favorite podcast is definitely “The Magnus Archives.”
Q: What is it about?
A: It takes place in the archives of an organization called the Magnus Institute, which looks into all things supernatural. It follows Jonathan Sims, head archivist of the Magnus Institute, as he looks into the statements given to the Institute.
Q:Why is it your favorite?
A: It has a very interesting approach to the concept of fear, and ultimately, it can also be considered a tragedy.
Q: Do you have a favorite episode? If so, why?
A: My favorite episode is probably “Hive,” which is decidedly not for those scared of bugs, but it’s one of the episodes that starts truly tying it all together, and it features some of the best writing in the podcast, which is impressive.

A: I really like “Bookmark’d.” It’s a book-related podcast, and it’s read by two YouTubers.
Q: What is it about?
A: They do different book-related activities, they talk about new book releases or books they just finished
Q: Why is it your favorite?
A: It kind of feels like a FaceTime…the conversation flows really nicely, and I get new book recommendations out of it.

A: I just watched their most recent one and I really liked it. They created Tinders for book characters, and I thought it was really creative.

A: I like “Noble Blood,” which has some fun history stories, and…often I can find anecdotes that I can use in class.
Q: What is it about?
A:The goal of “Noble Blood” is to provide a human interest…take on history.
Q:Why is it your favorite?
A: She has similar sensibilities in regards to drama, and things she finds interesting I usually find interesting.

A: I don’t know that I have a favorite episode, because there are just lots that are good.
